Worship 101

Lately I've been on the verge of writing a worship song. this is a huge step for me in that, well, what the heck do I know about writing worship music. I pose a better question, what the heck do I know about describing god's love. Is that even what I'm supposed to do, should I speak on my troubles, my successes, my insecurities, or there lack off. What Do I SAY! It's now that I hit this epiphany in my thinking. "and I've done all I can to stand on your steps with my heart in my hand, but I'm starting to see, baby it's got nothing to do with me". Very insightful words from a Mr. John Mayer. I am quickly realizing that God's love has nothing to do with me and how I feel. The only thing that matters in regards to myself is if I choose to not live in ignorance and embrace grace at it's finest. Ironicly enough, this makes writing worship music even more complex than I anticipated.
